The Webware server park is located in two of Estonia’s largest high-capacity server centres, which are interconnected by a private 1 Gb/sec connection.
We use Cisco networking equipment and HP servers with all components duplicated.
In WebDesktop, permissions are granted on a group basis. Group administration is the responsibility of the regular administrator and the unit administrator within the unit. All rights are realised on a group basis.
Groups are in turn linked to directories in the tree, so a group’s permissions only apply to the directory it is linked to (and everything inside that directory).

It is only natural that various institutions and organisations have been using some system for many years to manage their information and documents, but today, for various reasons, it has proved to be inadequate.
